Manufacturing Facilities

Power outages have become an increasingly common occurrence as investment in large power plants decreases utility equipment ages, and weather related events increase. Consequently, manufacturing facilities are potentially exposed to millions of dollars of physical losses and lost efficiencies as a result of power failure.  As an example we had one manufacturing client that had over $13 million dollars in losses during a single year due to numerous power outages. The stress on the electrical grid is only expected to worsen for the foreseeable future, particularly during peak demand periods.

This is where Electrical Midstream comes in, we can provide clients with an on-site back-up generation system (Reserve Power as A Service®) which is owned and operated by our company at less than 10% of the equipment cost. This service not only provides more stability, but can be used as a strategic advantage to continue to operate when competitors can not.

Oil and Gas

Oil & Gas projects often require the complete life cycle of power as a service.  These projects demand set up  far from existing power grids and local public utilites may take years to build to them.  Many companies cobble solutions together, outsourcing different needs or renting equipment from different vendors – making it all the more difficult to pivot as their needs evolve.

Oil & Gas projects need safe and reliable power, they need turnkey solutions, and they need it now.

This is where our breadth of expertise and range of services proves to be invaluable.  Electrical Midstream comes in quickly and builds out safe, dependable power with future growth in mind.  We start by powering the local site directly; from there, we can get a Private Transmission Distribution (PT&D) system in place to support the entire endeavor.  This means that our Oil & Gas clients are up, operating and bringing in revenue long before the local utility reaches them.  And because we offer vertical integration, the evolution from Prime Power to T&D to Reserve Power is seamless.

Data Centers

Data Centers require tremendous amounts of power and energy. For them, it is all about size and scale, and any downtime is catastrophic. Electrical Midstream can help Data Centers upgrade their system from N+1 to 2N for no additional capital, allowing them to increase the classification of their data center.

In addition, we build in a phase design to keep them secure and safe, essentially creating an ongoing “rightsizing” solution as we upgrade. Our team will walk the data center through their energy growth to prevent any shock to their existing system.

Our expertise in this arena means that by partnering with Electrical Midstream, you can remove 15-20% of the capital cost of building a new data center.

Now that is a powerful solution.
